Gorgonzola PDO Dolce to Enjoy by the Spoon
Gorgonzola PDO Dolce to enjoy by the spoon has always been a symbol of creaminess and indulgence in historic Lombard delicatessens.
At Arrigoni Battista, we decided to take its characteristics to the next level, creating a product that adds even greater softness to its typical sweetness, making it easily spreadable and suitable for many uses.
As it melts in the mouth, it reveals its delicious milky and slightly spicy flavour that caresses the palate, while the blue veining lends a pleasant aromatic intensity. This Gorgonzola offers a unique tasting experience, blending richness and lightness in a surprising balance.

Food pairing
It is perfect for making tasty hors d'oeuvres and delicious aperitifs paired with vegetables and baked goods, as well as being an excellent match for traditional Italian recipes.
Wine pairing
White wines such as Riesling, Pinot Bianco, Orvieto Classico, Frascati Superiore, dry Malvasia and Gavi can be drunk with sweet Gorgonzola DOP served by the spoonful. Rose wines, e.g. Chiarettodel Garda and Lagrein Kretzer, but also passiti wines go well with it.
Deepening
At Arrigoni Battista, we took inspiration from historic Lombard delicatessens, where creamy Gorgonzola served by the spoon was the star, to create a truly unique product—even softer, yet extremely practical for tasting and cooking.
To ensure maximum convenience, we removed the rind entirely before packaging and offer it in resealable containers. This way, both cheese counter staff and customers can fully enjoy all the features of our product while reducing waste.
Our goal is to keep tradition alive while offering a product that meets modern needs.
Our passion for innovation and attention to detail have enabled us to create a Gorgonzola that embodies flavour excellence, ease of service, and tasting pleasure.
