Food pairing
Lucifero pairs perfectly with both fresh and dried fruit, such as figs or walnuts. You can also use it to prepare flavourful sauces that enhance pasta dishes, main courses, and gourmet sandwiches. Before serving, it’s best to let the cheese sit at room temperature to bring out its full flavour and aroma.
Wine pairing
We recommend pairing it with two wines: Passito di Pantelleria and white Marsala.
Deepening
Lucifero is born from the combination of opposites: the typical sweetness of our blue cheese and the spiciness of carefully balanced chilli pepper added by our cheesemakers. Two opposing worlds fused into a single harmony.
The creamy, enveloping cheese embraces the heat, resulting in a character both elegant and bold.
During aging, this marriage of flavours comes into its own. Lucifero matures slowly, developing unique characteristics, enhanced by the addition of red chillipepper that pushes flavour to new heights.
Each bite becomes an exciting journey, awakening the senses. This alternation of sweet and spicy carries the palate into a truly... diabolical dance.
